Tickets vary in price depending on age, family groups, early bird prices or how many days you are attending. For more information click here for tickets.

Yes! A significant portion of our pre-sold tickets will be discounted! Those with pre-booked tickets can sign up for TCG tournaments and RPG sessions in advance, and will have an easier time entering on the day. If that wasn’t enough, some of our exhibitors will be have gifts/special offers for those who have pre-booked. We will add details of these offers here as they are finalised.

Please Note: Tickets purchased at the door will receive a different entry band from those with pre-booked tickets and will not get the benefits those with a pre-booked ticket will.

Getting to Canterbury Gaming Convention

Head to the front entrance of the Indoor Tennis Centre, where our team will greet you and get you your ticket band(s).

Yes! Free parking is available at Giles Lane Car Park. We have also reserved the Indoor Tennis Centre parking for Disabled Badge holders. There will be a drop off point outside the venue.

Those staying onsite will have parking assigned to them by the University of Kent for the duration of their stay.

The nearest accommodation will be on-site at the University of Kent.

The closest train station is Canterbury West, which has a direct high speed connection to London St. Pancras, as well as connections to London Victoria and the rest of Kent.

Our venue is a short bus journey from the station on the Uni1 route or a 30 minute walk.

At Canterbury Gaming Convention

Yes! We simply request that you ask the permission of anyone shown in your photos, especially if you plan to post them. Please do not include children under 18 in your photos of the event without the express permission of their parent(s)/guardian(s).

Should you wish to post any of your photos or videos of the event, please consider tagging us and any exhibitors/special guests included, and using #canterburygamingconvention

Cosplay is allowed and in fact strongly encouraged should you wish to do so. We politely request that any costumes are kept family friendly, and that realistic prop weapons are not included in your cosplays.

Please note, Hall 2 closes at 5pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.

Those who have pre-booked their ticket(s) can sign up to RPG sessions in advance via Warhorn. A link will be available closer to the time of the convention.

There will also be limited sessions available to those purchasing tickets on the day.

Canterbury Gaming Convention’s Venue

We will have a small selection of food and drink available in the venue. The University of Kent campus has plenty of further options including two Co-ops and a variety of restaurants and bars.

Yes! Once you have received your ticket band from our team at the front desk you are free to come and go as you please.

There are toilets located at the front of the hall, to the left of the front desk as you enter. 

Login details for the free Wi-Fi will be available from the front desk on the day.

There are designated smoking areas outside. Smoking inside, or directly in front of the venue is prohibited. This includes the use of e-cigarettes and vapes.

Please alert a member of our team or volunteer body – there will be first aid kits on site.

Lost property will be held at the front desk with the Dice & Destiny team.

Free tap water will be available from the bar on site, located to the right of the front desk as you enter. We strongly advise all guests to carry a water bottle with them at all times.

Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to enjoy Canterbury Gaming Convention without worry. If you have a specific accessibility requirement, please reach out to us via the contact form here and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

If anything arises on the day please find a member of our team or volunteer body who will be happy to assist.

Yes! If you have a service animal you wish to bring you will need to inform the University of Kent in advance. You can do so by filling out this form and sending it to G.Salter-596@kent.ac.uk, CCing C.Hames@kent.ac.uk

There is not a dedicated quiet room in the hall itself, however you may also feel free to use any of the amenities on the University of Kent campus should you need to step away from the venue. There are plenty available within a short walk.

If you have a carer, please do invite them to join you at Canterbury Gaming Convention – we do not require them to purchase a separate ticket from your own. This is only required should they wish to gain the benefits of a pre-booked ticket.

We politely request that all carers bring some from of evidence of caregiving status.
